Datsun 240Z

Datsun 240Z (sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z and in other markets as Nissan S30 or Datsun 260Z, 280Z) was the first generation of Nissan`s Z GT sports cars. Datsun 240Z was introduced in 1969 in New York. It was designed by a team led by Mr. Yoshihiko Matsuo, the head of Nissan's Sports Car Styling Studio. The car became very popular in the United States, due to its relatively low price compared to other sports cars and good steering. The 1970 through the mid-1971 model year 240Z was referred to as the Series I. These early models, had many small, subtle differences from the later cars, which included chrome "240Z" badge on the sail pillar, and two horizontal vents in the rear hatch below the glass molding providing flow through ventilation. In the mid-1971 the Series II models were introduced. Production of the Datsun 240Z ended in 1978.

Datsun 240Z (sprzedawany w Japonii jako Nissan Fairlady Z a na innych rynkach jako Nissan S30 lub Datsun 260Z, 280Z), był pierwszą generacją sportowych samochodów GT (Gran Turismo) Nissana sygnowanych literą Z. Datsuna 240Z zaprezentowano w 1969 r. w Nowym Jorku. Zaprojektował go zespół pod kierownictwem Yoshihiko Matsuo, dyrektor Centrum Stylistycznego Sportowych Aut Nissana. Samochód stał się bardzo popularny w Stanach Zjednczonych dzięki stosunkowo niskiej cenie w porównaniu z konkurentami, oraz dobremu prowadzeniu. Do modeli roczników 1970-1971 odnoszono się jako Seria 1. Te najwcześniejsze modele miały sporo subtelnych różnic wobec tych późniejszych, np. chromowany znaczek „240Z” na tylnym słupku czy wloty powietrza pod szybą zapewniające wentylację. W połowie 1971 r. przedstawiono modele Serii 2. Produkcja Datsuna 240Z zakończyła się w 1978r.
