Renault Espace Roland Garros 2023 (Norev)

 

Roland Garros, zwany też French Open, to turniej tenisowy rozgrywany w Paryżu od 1891 roku. Jest jednym z czterech turniejów Wielkiego Szlema i jedynym granym na nawierzchni ceglanej, tzw. mączce.

Dla polskich kibiców stał się znaczący w 2020 roku, kiedy to wygrała go Iga Świątek, powtarzając osiągnięcie w 2022 i 2023 roku. Dla fanów motoryzacji stał się znaczący w 1984 roku, kiedy to marka Peugeot stała się jednym z partnerów tych prestiżowych zawodów.

Od 2022 roku Renault jest partnerem premium tego turnieju. W 2023 roku Renault oddało do dyspozycji organizatorów turnieju flotę 185 samochodów do przewozu tenisistów i gości oficjalnych składającą się z 90 modeli Megane E-Tech electric, 30 modeli Austral E-Tech full hybrid oraz 20 nowych Espace E-Tech full hybrid.

O miniaturze

Modelik diecast wykonał Norev. Od lat firma z jakiegoś powodu wypuszcza Renault w uproszczonych wersjach i tutaj jest tak samo. Lusterka odlane razem z nadwoziem, plastikowe koła i brak lusterka wstecznego. Niby detale, ale negatywnie wpływają na odbiór modelu. Jedyne co mogłem poprawić to dodanie odblaskowego wkładu lusterek.

Z pozytywów: ładnie odwzorowane alufelgi, czysto położony, elegancki granatowy lakier i panoramiczny dach przez który dobrze widać jasne wnętrze autka. Wiernie odwzorowano również emblematy Rolanda Garrosa. 

Gdyby nie drażniące uproszczenie producenta, modelik byłby wspaniały. A tak jest tylko przeciętny. Niestety żadnych alternatyw od innych producentów nie ma. Więc jak się nie ma co się lubi, to się lubi co się ma.

The Roland Garros, also known as the French Open, is a tennis tournament held in Paris since 1891. It is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments and the only one played on clay surface.

For car enthusiasts it became significant in 1984, when Peugeot became one of the partners of this prestigious tournament.

From 2022 Renault is the premium partner of this tournament. For the 2023 edition Renault provided a fleet of 185 vehicles, including 90 of the Megane E-Tech 100% Electric, 30 of the all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid and 20 all new new Espace E-Tech full hybrid to transport players and officials

About the miniature

This diecast model was done by Norev. For years now, the manufacturer releases Renaults in simplified form for some reason and this model is no different. Side-view mirrors cast as one piece with the body, plastic wheels and absence of rear view mirror. They might just be details, but they do impact negatively on the model’s looks. The only thing I could add was the glass imitations in the side-view mirrors. 

On the positive side: we have nicely replicated alloy wheels, clean and elegant dark blue paint work and large panoramic roof which allows you to see into the model’s detailed interior. The Roland Garros badging was also done well.

If it wasn’t for the manufacturer’s annoying simplifications, it would’ve been a great model. But, it is just average. Unfortunately, there is no alternatives from other manufacturers. So if you don’t have what you like, you like what you have.
